In the morning, the soft glow of the sun crept into the room, slipping past the curtains and gently hitting Tania's eyes. She stirred, feeling a weight around her waist. Her back was pressed against his chest, and when she glanced down, she saw Sarfaraaz's arm draped over her. Even in sleep, his grip was firm, possessive, as if he feared she might slip away if he loosened it.
She tilted her head slightly, looking over her shoulder at his face. His features, though still hardened, seemed less severe in the tranquility of sleep. His breathing was steady, a far cry from the intensity of the night before. There was a vulnerability to him now, one she hadn't noticed when he was awake.
This man is far from the man who destroyed her life. Yet they both are the same person!
Turning her gaze to the ceiling, Tania's thoughts swirled. How has her life changed so drastically in just a matter of weeks?
Here she was, lying in the arms of the very man who had torn her world apart. Yet now, seeing him like this, she realized she had given him something she didn't expect: Solace.
But why? How could she be like this? She had always been soft-hearted, but this... this was more than just pity. It was something deeper, more dangerous, and the thought of it sent a shiver through her.
Carefully, she tried to slip away, her fingers gently prying his hand from her waist. But even in his sleep, Sarfaraaz's grip remained unwavering, as if he could sense her attempt to escape.
She finally freed herself from his arms and got up from the bed. She felt her throat become dry, she drank water from the bottle which was at the side table.
She slowly walked towards the door to leave the room, she heard movements behind her. She froze at her place.
Her heart beat raised. He is awake!
"Leaving already?" she heard a husky voice behind her. The tone didn't reflect the usual coldness.
She looked at him over her shoulder and said calmly, "I should go. I stayed more than longer."
"Maybe it is not that long as you assumed" he said slowly stepping forward.
"I shouldn't be here in the first place. I... can't... be... in your... embrace," Tania whispered, her voice trembling as she was torn between the conflicting emotions of his hatred and the soft, vulnerable side he had shown.
"But you stayed anyways," Sarfaraaz replied gently, stepping closer to her. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her small frame from behind, pulling her into his warmth.
"I'm not asking for forever. Just for this moment. Besides, you can't escape me, Hazel," he murmured into her ear, his breath warm against her neck.
"I... I... need... space," she managed to say, her voice broken and shaky.
For a few agonizing seconds, silence hung between them. Then, slowly, Sarfaraaz loosened his hold, stepping back just enough to let her go.
"Okay....Only for now." he said softly yet possessive tone.
Tania exhaled a deep breath and slowly walked out of his room.

In the evening
In the evening, Tania was absorbed in one of the books she had taken from his vast library, flipping through pages without really caring what Sarfaraaz might say about it. She had nothing else to do, so why not take advantage of it?
"Auntie Tania!" she heard the cheerful voice of Muneeb make her snap out of her concentration.
To her surprise, Sarfaraaz was standing tall, holding Muneeb in his one arm and Mashmellow in the other.
"You can meet him and your cat...from now on" he said in a hesitant tone as if he was unsure of his decision.
"Thanks," Tania responded, taking Muneeb from him. The little boy's face lit up, and Tania's heart softened at his innocent joy. The rest of the evening passed in peace as they played together, laughter echoing in the room.
While Sarfaraaz was working on his laptop sitting on the couch. He was stealing glances on her smiling face from time to time subconsciously.
This little wife of her is still like a child. Smiling and playing so carelessly living in the lion's den he thought.
He couldn't help but wonder, why had he really kept her? Was it for revenge? He thought it was... but now, looking at her, he wasn't so sure.
Suddenly, his phone rang, snapping him back to reality. It was Rahat.
"Yeah, say," Sarfaraaz answered, his gaze still flickering to Tania.
"We can't find anything on Javier. It's like he's disappeared into thin air. This is the first time we've come up empty."
Sarfaraaz's jaw clenched. "You can't track down one man?" His voice was low, simmering with rage.
"I suspect that 'Javier' is a fake name. We even checked updates at the police station. No progress."
"Fu-" Sarfaraaz cut himself off as Tania's disapproving look shot his way. She pointed at Muneeb, making it clear she wouldn't tolerate swearing in front of the boy.
He sighed and softened his tone. "Alright. Keep digging. I'll deal with it later."
He just needed to confirm it was actually a murder attempt not just a mere accident. Then he would bury that Javier or whoever fucker it is to the ground.

1 week later
This week was better than the last week I spent in this mansion. I feel less lonely now as I have a kid and a cat to take care of. Though the pain and scar in my heart is still there. But now I have distractions at least.
I miss my father and my sisters so much. I don't know whether they even think about me or not. I just wanted to see them even if it was from a distance.
But one matter of relief was that Sarfaraaz stopped his assault on my father's company.
It is now safe. I hope it gets better soon. I also hope that my father regains his sense in his legs though it will be close to a miracle now.
As for me, I can manage here somehow if my family is okay. Sarfaraaz went outside of the country for 3 days so I'm in relief that I don't have to see him.... for now.
Surprisingly, we didn't fight after that night. I felt somehow he has gotten soften nowadays.
But my greatest fear? Getting closer to him. His behavior confused me, twisted my emotions. He made me forget sometimes that I must hate him.
After Muneeb fell asleep, I carefully lifted him to take him to his bed. As I stood and turned, I collided with something firm, someone. My heart leapt into my throat, and I nearly screamed before a finger gently pressed to my lips.
"Ssh... You'll wake him," Sarfaraaz's husky voice whispered.
When did he arrive?
I was going to snap on him for scaring me but remained silent for the sake of the little boy.
Sarfaraaz went near Muneeb and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead. The sight, looked almost soothing, the ruthless lion, tender and gentle with his cub.
Why I'm getting so involved? I scolded myself internally.
I silently leave the room to go back to my little nest. Suddenly he grabbed me by my wrist. The grip was neither harsh nor gentle.
"Wait!" he said in a deep, commanding voice.
"Why were you standing behind me like a thief?" I shot back hiding the sudden flutter in my chest.
"Do I seem like a thief?" he said in a low growl. Though his lips twitched in an amusement.
"Okay. Honestly you look like a robber. Your mustache perfectly completes the look" I said smirking.
He eyes darkened hearing this. Then I realized.. Shit! I need to escape.
"Anyways I'm done here. Good night" I blurted quickly and tried to free my hand from his grip.
"Well. I'm not done." he said in a deep, dangerous voice. Then surprising me, he buried his face on the crook of my neck. A shiver ran down my spine as his breath tickled my skin.
Why was he doing this?
"It's been seven days since I've smelled you. Let me take in your scent, Hazel." His words whispered so intimately, as if he was speaking directly to my soul. I felt him sniffing which made my heartbeat rise.
"Sarfaraaz..." I said confused.
"I'm done...Now.. You can go" he said before looking into my eyes, while his own were stormy as if he was fighting something inside.
I didn't dare to look at them anymore. The moment he released me I ran to my room.
Locking the door I was thinking what is going on. Day by day I'm going inside a complex web. I don't know if I'll be able to get out of it or not!

I was in his study gathering courage to ask for something which has a tiniest chance to be approved.
But this is for Muneeb's sake.
"I think... we should take Muneeb outside," I began cautiously, watching Sarfaraaz closely.
"Just for an hour or two. He hasn't left the mansion since... since everything happened. It's not good for him to be cooped up like this."
Sarfaraaz's face hardened instantly. "No," he said flatly. "It's too dangerous. He's safe here, and that's what matters."
I swallowed, feeling the sting of his rejection, but I pressed on. "I understand you want to protect him, but he's just a child, Sarfaraaz. He needs to see the world outside these walls. I'll affect him, you know that"
He clenched his jaw, turning his head away as if to dismiss the conversation. "I said no."
"He is just a child, Sarfaraaz. He already lost too much. Let him live a little. Please" I said again.
After a moment of pause he sighed and finally said, " Okay..only for 2 hours".
"Thanks" I said sincerely.
"Don't think this is for you," he muttered, his voice still gruff. "This is for him."
Jerk! He knows how to spoil my mood.

In the afternoon at 5 pm
The amusement park had been bustling with life-the vibrant laughter of children, the scent of freshly made popcorn, and the comforting hum of happiness in the air.
Tania had managed to convince Sarfaraaz to bring Muneeb out for 2 hours, even with the tension that lingered between them. Muneeb's eyes lit up with excitement as they wandered from ride to ride, and for a fleeting moment, everything felt normal.
Then suddenly chaos started.
Shots rang out from a distance, cutting through the festive noise like a knife. People scattered, screaming in terror. Sarfaraaz's body moved instinctively, shielding Muneeb and the nanny before ushering them toward the safety of the car.
His men who were at a distance secretly started shooting in the reply of the attack.
"Tania!" he remembered, turning to search for her.
But when he turned around, she was still there-standing frozen, mere feet away, her wide hazel eyes locked onto his. A shadow loomed behind her, an assassin, blade glinting in the sunlight.
Without a second thought, Sarfaraaz lunged. He shoved Tania out of the way just as the attacker swung the knife. Pain exploded in his side as the blade sliced into his abdomen, but Sarfaraaz didn't falter. He fought off the attacker with brutal precision.
As the threat neutralized, he clutched his bleeding wound. His white shirt turned into crimson red.
"Sarfaraaz!" Tania rushed to him screaming.
"Get to the car, Tania. It'll leave any moment" he urged her but his voice sounded weaker than his regular cold one.
"What about you?" she asked shakily.
"I'll come once it is over... Just go" he said, this time louder.
"I'm not leaving you like this" she said determined. Without giving him a chance to talk, she tore a side of her scruff and pressed it over his wound to stop the bleeding.
In a few minutes, his men rushed near him and said, "All are okay. Should we take you to the hospital?"
"No. I have kits at home. Send us home and clean up this mess" he said. A low groan escaped his mouth which made Tania's heart shatter. Tears formed in her eyes unknowingly. . . . In the car, there was a suffocating silence. Tania kept sneaking glances at him, trying to read his expression, but his face remained stony, his jaw clenched in frustration.
It only took then 10 minutes to reach home. Sarfaraaz tossed her hand aside, yanking it away from his wound as he stormed inside without a word.
Tania's brow furrowed in concern. She could tell he was angry, but she couldn't leave him like this. His wound was serious, and he took such a risk to save her.
She slowly followed him into his room. He was already discarded the bloody shirt on the floor, his hands trembling with rage and pain. He turned around and saw her suddenly, his eyes burning with a mixture of fury and something deeper.
"Why are you here? Get lost before I hurt you" he barked.
Tania didn't flinch. "I'm not leaving you like this."
"This stubbornness of yours..." he came closer and grabbed her by the shoulder. His grip was firm, his eyes dark. "It could be your downfall, Tania. Because of your damned request, I took Muneeb and you outside. What if something happens to him.......or....you?" Under his cold words there was a layer of pure concern.
Without taking his words to heart, she said softly, "Let me treat your wound, Rayan. It's bleeding again."
Whether it is her soft voice or her calling him 'Rayan' softened him.
He sighed and loosened his grip on her shoulder. He sat on the bed silently while Tania brought the first aid kit from the washroom.
She gently treated his wound while he was busy looking at her. His anger slowly vanished and was replaced by the pull he was feeling for her.
Once she was done, she got up. She can't but help asking the question swirling in her mind. "Why did you take such a risk to save me? I'm your enemy, remember?"
Sarfaraaz's gaze darkened as he also got up. He caught her wrist, pulling her closer. His voice was low, gravelly. "You belong to me, Hazel. And I don't like when someone tries to take away what's mine. Be it some person or the death itself"
Her heart fluttered at his possessive remark.
Before she could respond, he cut her off, his eyes narrowing with impatience. "For the record... you ask too many questions, Hazel. Fuck this."
Muture scene 🖤
And then, before she could say another word, his lips were on hers. It was a rough, demanding kiss, filled with all the tension that had been building between them.
In a heartbeat, the scarf covering her hair fell on the ground letting open her silky black hair. His kiss was fiery and filled with unspoken emotions.
Her body responded to this instinctively, her hands gripping his shoulder for support. His bare skin pressed against her small frame with force as if he was trying to merge two worlds together.
His hands moved with purpose, one sliding to her waist while the other tangled in her hair, pulling her head back slightly to deepen the kiss. His lips were rough, urgent, and she felt like she was being consumed by the intensity of it all. She tried to match it out of her defiance but failed.
As she was going out of air he broke the kiss but trailing hot kisses down her neck, nipping at the sensitive skin there, making her gasp. His hands roamed her body with increasing boldness, his touch setting her skin on fire wherever it landed. Her body reacted to him in ways she couldn't control. He was touching the places no one touched there before. She let out a small grasp when he pinned her against the wall and again found her lips.
Tania's mind went racing and she was doing everything out of her instinct. Her hands roamed over his hard muscles on his abdomen. She winched when she touched the injured area of his. But he didn't seem to care.
He hissed at the contact but pulled her closer as if the pain only fueled the fire inside him. He broke the kiss only to look at her hazel eyes for a longer time.
"You drive me insane, Hazel. You are...everything I shouldn't want" his voice filled with emotions "..yet here you are"
Saying this he claimed her lips again,, this time the kiss was slower, tender yet no less intense. His hands explored her body as if he tried to make a map of this.
When he released her both were panting. Her hands were still in his bare chest.
"We shouldn't be doing this. We are enemies and we are supposed to hate each other" she said reminding him of the cruel fate they shared.
But today, words seemed to fail reaching his ears. Instead his hand slipped beneath her long skirt, the roughness of his fingers meeting the smooth, warm skin of her thighs. Tania's breath hitched at the sudden, intimate contact, and her heart raced as his hand moved higher, exploring, teasing.
Sarfaraaz's eyes darkened with a mix of desire and amusement as his fingers brushed the sensitive spot between her thighs, feeling the undeniable wetness.
His lips curved into a smirk, his voice low and filled with a dangerous edge, "Well..you shouldn't be this wet for a man who is your enemy and you claimed to hate... should you, Hazel?"
Tania bit her lip, her body betraying her even as her mind screamed at her to push him away. But the fire in his touch, the pull he had over her, made it impossible to resist. She wanted to deny it, to argue, but her lips couldn't form the words.
Sarfaraaz leaned in closer, his fingers teasing her without mercy. "Your body is definitely showing what it wants. It needs me. You are in a circle, Hazel..You'll always come back to me no matter how much you try to escape "
Tania gasped as his fingers moved higher, brushing against the thin fabric of her panties. Her body trembled, heat pooling low in her belly, and she hated herself for it- for wanting him, for needing him, for feeling this way about the man she should despise.
More of it, this sensation, this intoxicating pleasure was new to her- something she never experienced before. The way her body responded, the way it carved for his touch, terrified her.
"Stop," she whispered, though the word held no real conviction. Her hands gripped his arms, but she couldn't pull away. "Sarfaraaz... please..."
"Please what?" His voice was dark, filled with amusement as he continued to tease her, his touch both tormenting and intoxicating. "Tell me what you want, Hazel. Do you want me to stop? Or do you want more?"
Her lips tremble to speak but her back arched aganist his fingers wanting for more.
"I'll take it as your answer" he whispered , his breath hot against her ear. A smirk was evident on his lips.
"Let me take you to the world of ecstasy, Édesem (sweetheart)"
Without waiting for her response he pressed his fingers harder against the thin fabric of her panties only to Tania drive insane. He stroked her with agonizing precision. She gasped, her body trembling as he expertly played with her senses, made her arched her back more in need. The friction though dulled by the cloth was enough to send sparks shooting through her vein. His thumb was slowly rubbing her clit over the thin fabric and his finger thrusting inside her along with the cloth.
Tania's breath hitched, her mind clouded with desire. His fingers moved slow, his thumb doing deliberate circles with the pressure just enough to close to her edge.
"Fuck! You're so sensitive," he murmured, his voice a husky growl that sent shivers down her spine. "Just imagine how it would feel if I touched you directly".
Her nails dug into his forearms, her breathing ragged as he applied a bit more pressure. It was enough to send her spiraling, her body tensing as the wave of pleasure crashed over her. Her breath caught in her throat, her hips jerking forward as she came- without even him touching her directly.
" You look like a beautiful mess, Édesem, created by me. You don't know how I am keeping my composure " he said seductively, his breath hitched, his eyes dark with satisfaction as he took in the sight of her-disheveled, breathless, and utterly undone from the release he had coaxed out of her without even touching her directly.
As her body trembled and unraveled, Tania felt the overwhelming sensation take hold, her legs weakening beneath her. The intensity of it all ; the unfamiliar pleasure, the heat, the sheer power of her release, was too much for her and she began to fall.
But Sarfaraaz caught her tightly. His hold was protective and possessive at the same time.
"Why..why did you do it?" she barely managed to say this. She was tired, frustrated and angry at herself at the same time
"Because you needed it, Hazel. Even though we are fated to be enemies, I'll be the one to take care of your every fucking need"
She didn't have energy to say anything more she just leaned to him. But seeing her so drain both mentally and physically something stirred inside Sarfaraaz.
He took her in bridal style and gently put her on bed. Then he went to the washroom to prepare a warm bath for her.
Once he was done he lifted her and started walking towards the washroom.
"Why are you taking me, now? Let go of me " she protested in daze.
"Relax. You can snap more in the next day. Take a bath and sleep " he said softly.
He put her down on the floor and handed her a towel and a black hoodie.
"Put this on once you are done. They are more comfortable than what you are wearing now" he instructed.
"I'll be outside" saying he left without giving her a chance to protest.
She sighed and climbed on the bath tab to let the warm water relax her muscles.
Once she was done she wear the hoodie he left. The moment she wore it his scent entered into her nerve and surprisingly it soothed her.
She laughed at her fate, the man tore his life apart now becoming the source of comfort, care, pleasure. How wondering her life could be!
As she entered the bedroom her bare legs were on the display which made her monster's eyes darkened.
"Don't you dare come towards me. Have a dreadful night!" she blurted out before climbing his bed.
Sarfaraaz smirked in amusement.
She needed a sound sleep after everything happened. And her cracked bed could not give her this comfort.
As she slept Sarfaraaz went near her and pressed a kiss on her temple.
"Today I saved you because when the knife was pointed at you I felt an extreme urge to protect you, my heart clenched immediately don't know why" her murmured.
"I'll save you even if I have to fight with the whole world. Because now, I'm your world. It's a world full of thorns and roses. And you'll live in it forever.." he said patting her head for the last time before moving away.
